What We Have Learned from OMR

OMR taught proper benching techniques of the Drager BG4 which is a standard closed circuit underground breathing apparatus. This device is the key tool for the mine rescue team to work in a contaminated atmosphere.

Mock problems were created by OMR and the UBCMR responded to these scenarios. Once a problem was established and the team was prepared, the team was then briefed about the emergency.

Not having an underground mine to train with. UBCMR and OMR used the University as a training ground and worked on campus to prepare for upcoming competitions.
